Andy is a physiotherapist who graduated from a Masters of Physiotherapy from La Trobe University in 2012, and has been working in sports focussed private practice ever since. Andy’s philosophies are centred on the knowledge that Exercise is Medicine, and much like pharmaceuticals, exercise requires very precise prescription in terms of all variables relating to type, quantity and mode of delivery to attain the outcome desired.
Andy is particularly passionate about helping athletes aim for and achieve high performance through strength and conditioning. This led to further studies and Andy graduating from a Masters in Exercise Science at Edith Cowan University in 2017; earning level 2 S&C Coach qualification; and level 2 Weightlifting Coach qualifications. High performance is relative to each athlete, and could be anything from rehabilitating senior athletes to provide them the ability to play with their grandchildren; to rehabilitating athletes to beat their best on the field or in the weights room.
Outside of playtime at PEAK, Andy loves all sports but is especially in love with AFL and the Essendon Football Club. And, as he has just moved up from Melbourne, you’re likely to find him worshipping the year-round sunshine at the beach, learning how to surf, or playing with his family in the park.
