About The Stride Club
The PEAK Stride Club is a Brisbane-based running group in Hawthorne and New Farm that started in 2017. PEAK Stride Club sessions run twice per week in Hawthorne and New Farm Parks and are coached by our Podiatry and Physiotherapy Coaches at PEAK Sports And Spine Centre, who specialise in gait retraining and lower limb injuries. Our running sessions aim to improve your running ability by focusing on technique cues, speed and interval training. The PEAK Stride Club is perfect for people of all running abilities and goals. We are able to scale each session to suit your current fitness level.
The group running environment is an amazing way to find motivation for training and work towards your running goals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can anyone join this running club?
Of course! Everyone is welcome to join the group. We cater for all ages and running abilities and have a highly supportive community environment
Do I need to undertake a running biomechanical assessment before joining the running club?
No you don’t need to have a biomechanics assessment before joining The Stride Club, however a Running Biomechanical Assessment can be a very beneficial way to review your technique and give you some running cues to help reduce the risk of injury, provide footwear advice and determine your running goals.
What is the cost of each session?
- Sessions are free of charge.
Where does the Stride Club go on each run?
Stride Club is focused on interval sessions. All of the sessions stay local to Hawthorne Park. During our preparation for events such as the Gold Coast Marathon, we will also incorporate weekend long runs beginning at our clinic location in Hawthorne.
What if I can’t keep up with my running group?
The sessions are specifically designed by the coaches to cater for all running abilities. Before the session your coach will get an idea of your current fitness level and any injury history. The interval sessions are often time based, so you are able to do as many repetitions in each set that you can. We are always able to scale the session and distances.
What should I bring when I meet with my running group?
Please bring a water bottle with you. Your coach will always be at the meeting area to look after anything else you might need to bring with you.
