Below are some tips to help you reconnect with the things that you enjoy and are meaningful for you:

  • Create a vision board

    Taking a moment to write down what you enjoy doing makes things clearer. Vision boards are a great tool to look at each day to guide you towards your goals over the next 5-10 years. The research shows that we are more likely to achieve goals when we write them down.

     

  • Manage time

    Managing time itself should not be the aim, but rather managing where to focus at any particular time. Covey’s time management matrix is an exceptional tool to focus on the things that you enjoy doing on your vision board.  By being clear about what your priorities are, your energy and time will be dedicated to the opportunities rather than problems. The aim is to spend most of your time in quadrant II.

     
  • Say ‘no’ sometimes

    This is often one of the hardest things for us to do as humans. With clear goals and time management, it enables you to focus on having enough opportunity to do the things that you enjoy doing, whilst still fitting in all of life’s other activities.
