A recent systematic review and meta-analysis looked at whether weather factors: like temperature, humidity, and rain, actually trigger musculoskeletal pain.
Researchers analyzed over 15,000 participants across multiple studies and found no consistent link between weather changes and increased pain in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, knee pain, or low back pain.
While some specific cases (like gout under certain conditions) showed sensitivity, the overall conclusion is clear: weather is not a reliable predictor of pain flare-ups for most people.
