In 2020, Scott set himself a new goal of completing a full Ironman distance triathlon in Germany. Challenge Roth is the largest long distance triathlon in the world. When this unfortunately didn’t go ahead, Scott didn’t let this affect his mindset. Instead, he put his head down and continued training

Scott set himself two new goals – the Sunshine Coast 70.3 Half Ironman and the Cairns 140.6 Full Ironman.  At PEAK one of our values is ‘Choose Your Pain’, which involves choosing the pain of discipline over dysfunction. While training for the Ironman, Scott attended two strength sessions a week to help prevent his risk of injuries and develop strength for the race.  He has found an amazing support crew at SBR Triathlon club where he trained 6 days a week.

Scott went on to successfully complete both of these events and can now proudly call himself an Ironman!. He completed the 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride and 42.2km run in a time of 15 hours and 40 minutes in tough conditions.

Throughout the Ironman journey Scott has been raising money for the Charity 4ASD Kids which raises funds for early intervention assistance for children with autism. This is a charity very close to Scott’s heart as he has a family member who lives with this condition.

We love Scott’s attitude that if a new challenge comes along, “Just say YES”.  PEAK is so privileged to be a part of Scott’s Journey. Scott is excited to be joining PEAK on their next Experience Never Felt Possible Trip to North QLD 2021.
