PEAK Sports And Spine Centre provides Exercise Led Prevention Classes. The classes are run by our Physiotherapy and Chiropractic Coaches. These Coaches are registered health professionals with AHPRA. Our classes are unique combining strength, mobility, clinical-pilates, and aerobic based exercise into the one program. The classes are tailored to your individual goals and needs. By combining different forms of exercise into your program, we believe it gives you the best chance of improving your quality of life.

What is Exercise Led Prevention?

At PEAK our Exercise Led Prevention Classes differ from traditional classes.

Our classes are tailored to you as an individual. The classes are capped at a maximum of 4 people per class. We combine strength, mobility, clinical-pilates, and aerobic based exercises into the program. Each person performs a customised program based on their assessment and goals.

What To Expect At An Exercise Led Prevention Class With Peak

Before starting your Exercise Led prevention Classes at PEAK, we perform an initial consultation where we learn about your goals, any previous injuries or concerns. We then perform a thorough assessment to look for any possible muscular or skeletal issues which could benefit from Exercise Led Prevention. Once we have gathered information from the assessment, we work with you to create an individualised program to meet your personal goals.

The classes are a great way to learn self-management skills for your neck symptoms at work and home. By decreasing your pain and preventing recurrence, you will be able to enjoy more of the things that make you happy.

Knee Pain

We will guide you through minimising and preventing your knee symptoms to give you the best chance of performing the activities that you enjoy doing.

Your coach will teach you how to manage the loads that you expose your knee to each day—whilst developing strength and endurance to better tolerate these loads and minimise pain.

Exercise Led Prevention Before and After Rehab

The classes present a unique opportunity to complete prehabilitation (pre-surgery) or rehabilitation (post-surgery) in a supervised environment. Often these are times where motivation and adherence can be tough. The environment promotes accountability and enjoyment as you work towards your goals.

Everyone. Regardless of your age, injury history or level of fitness, our coaches will perform a thorough assessment and prescribe a program to meet your individual goals and needs.

– Barbells, Olympic-size weight plates, squat rack and bench press.

– Clinical Pilates reformers.

– Dumbbells and kettlebells.

– Anti-Gravity treadmill, running treadmills, wattbike, ski ergometer, rowing ergometer.

You should check with your health fund, however in most cases the answer is yes. This is due to our programs being custom designed by qualified Physiotherapists and Chiropractors.

Each class is 60 minutes long. Most people attend between 1 and 3 three classes each week.

The classes run all day between 7am-12pm, and 2pm-8pm.

Clothing to exercise in as you were going to the gym or a pilates class. Bring a water bottle and a towel as well.

Exercise Led Prevention combines strength, mobility, aerobic, and clinical pilates into someone’s program. Clinical Pilates uses the method developed by Joseph Pilates. Often, this form of exercise uses mat or reformer-based exercises. At PEAK we have pilates reformer and can integrate specific exercises into your Exercise Led Prevention Class if this is a goal of yours.

We also provide HICAPS for real-time private health claiming.
