Tommy’s passion for helping others create experiences never felt possible was fostered through an active lifestyle, where he participated in soccer and track and field. Being immersed in professional and semi-professional sporting environments has exposed Tommy to the complexities and commitments that high-level athletes come across. Tommy utilises his clinical skills and sporting experience to encourage athletes to move away from injury protection and focus on performance and wellbeing.
Each athlete’s presentation is approached in a holistic manner, rather than focussing solely on the affected structures. He believes in a shared decision-making process and encourages athletes to buy into an active rehabilitation. This philosophy, combined with Tommy’s manual therapy skills, tailored exercise prescription and advice ensure that benefits are maintained and translated into a full, pain-free life.
Tommy has experience in a variety of physiotherapy fields including: orthopaedics (pre and post surgery), acute sporting injuries, chronic conditions, neurological rehabilitation and cardiorespiratory rehabilitation. He thoroughly enjoys the challenge of finding the root of his athlete’s pain and rehabilitating them back to full function.
