Why would you benefit from seeing them?

All of our coaches with Women’s health as an interest area have trained and primarily practised as musculoskeletal physiotherapists. With identifying the need to be able to provide better all round support to women they have then completed further training in Women’s health and have brought the two specialities together. Some particular concerns you may like to see them for may be:

  • Pregnancy related pain/ support
  • Support with pelvic conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, post pelvic surgery
  • Postnatal return to exercise assessment
  • Postnatal pain (wrist/ upper back/ ergonomics)
  • Abdominal separation (Rectus Diastasis)
  • Bladder or bowel symptoms (Leaking, urgency, constipation, increased/decreased timing)
  • Prolapse assessment and management (heaviness, bulging feeling)
  • Peri menopause/menopause support and advice

You can see more about what our Women’s Health Physios do on our website here.

We are also excited to now be offering Pessary fittings. These devices are a low risk way to help manage symptoms associated with prolapse and can provide women an opportunity to return to doing the activities and exercise they love without worrying about symptoms. If you are interested to know more then check out our website

If you or someone you know are affected by any of the above symptoms or want to know more then know that there is something you can do! Call our Allstars or book an appointment online for a Womens’ Health Initial Assessment and let us help you to start doing the things you love.

If you want to know more about why we think this is important, here’s a great TEDTalk.
