Choosing the Right School Shoes for Your Child: A Podiatrist’s Guide for Parents
By Lachlan Stanton, Director & Podiatrist at PEAK Sports & Spine Centre
Read moreTommy is not only a dedicated physiotherapist with expertise across orthopaedics, sports injuries, and neurological rehabilitation, he’s also a living example of our Pain, Prevention, Performance philosophy coming off the back of a recent hamstring injury.

Recently, Tommy decided to take his own advice and push himself beyond familiar boundaries by undertaking the formidable challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Standing at 5,895 meters, Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest peak and a test of both physical endurance and mental strength. It’s a climb that demands resilience, determination, and an unwavering mindset. But this journey was about more than physical achievement; it was about transformation, self-discovery, and proving that we can achieve anything!

For Tommy, the climb mirrored the work he does with his athletes. Just as he guides others to move beyond pain, prevent injuries, and reach peak performance, he now faces his own personal challenges on the mountain. Every step, no matter how grueling, was a testament to discipline, determination, and the power of mindset.
This journey, although one of many, will be completed with his mother. They will be sharing a once-in-a-lifetime experience that reflected not just physical accomplishment, but the importance of relationships, encouragement, and shared triumphs.

At PEAK, Tommy’s achievements inspire us all. His Kilimanjaro climb is a living demonstration of our commitment to helping people achieve experiences not felt possible. It reminds us that challenges are opportunities for growth, that transformation occurs when we step outside our comfort zones, and commit to the idea that we can do more.
We are immensely proud of Tommy, not just for reaching Kilimanjaro’s peak, but for showing us all what is possible when passion, preparation, and perseverance align. His journey is the inspiration for us to strive higher, push further, and embrace the mindset that is at the heart of PEAK.
