Your treatment may include manual therapy, soft tissue release, dry needling as well as exercise prescription in order to help achieve your goals. At PEAK we believe that being proactive is better than being reactive and that is why you will be provided with an individualised rehabilitation plan that you can proactively undertake at home or the gym to ensure that your physical health will benefit. The rehabilitation plan may also incorporate group Prevention Classes at PEAK to assist you with returning to pre-injury state or preventing any injury from returning.
Before attending PEAK, you will require a referral from your General Practitioner or specialist, this referral is called a D904. If you hold a Gold Card and also have a Total Permanent Incapacity (TPI) classification, your referral will last you 12 months and within that time you are eligible for unlimited treatment sessions. If you hold a Gold or White card with no TPI classification, your referral entitles you to 12 sessions requiring a new referral at the end of the 12 session cycle. Your PEAK practitioner will guide you through this process and will regularly communicate with your referring doctor to provide updates. PEAK will bill DVA directly for any treatment provided to you if the service is provided under DVA arrangements. DVA can also assist with transport expenses.
